OUR STORY

Manish Poddar, the CEO of PIC Sapleston Stone and Partner at Poddar Industrial Consultants, has been a driving force in the field of natural stone products. Born into a business family, Mr. Poddar took on significant responsibilities at a young age. He graduated with distinction in Commerce and has always been committed to discovering innovative products across various fields. In 1985, the company diversified into the export of brass architectural hardware and natural stone products, quickly gaining international recognition by 1991.

OUR STORY In 1994, Mr. Poddar introduced hand-made cobbles from quarry waste, converting waste into valuable exports and significantly contributing to the country's foreign exchange earnings. This initiative showcased the potential for innovative approaches to natural stone utilization. A pivotal moment came in 2007 at the Global Stone Technology Forum in Jaipur, where renowned architect Mr. Hafeez Contractor emphasized the need for a real stone veneer suitable for various applications. This concept inspired Mr. Poddar to develop SAPLESTON – Stone Veneer.
